Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) has officially launched the new Isuzu D-Max Boondock 4x4. The new variant of the popular pickup will also have a public launch event later today (June 17) at 5:00 PM via Facebook Live. As the vehicle’s name states this latest variant was designed for the mountains or Boondocks which reflects in the vehicle’s exterior styling as well as in the off-road gear it carries.

The Isuzu Boondock 4x4 builds upon what the regular D-Max 4x4 has started. The Boondock variant now comes with a tough and much more rugged look compared to the regular pickup. This burlier look is further accentuated by the addition of a new set of graphics, a new honeycomb grille with the Boondock logo, a new pair of steel side steps, and other exterior related accessories.
Making sure that it lives up to its off-road-ready look, Isuzu Philippines has also added Nitrogen filled shock absorbers that ensure that the pickup truck gets a near-instantaneous response to changing road conditions. These give the suspension a faster damping reaction which results in improved steering control in almost any terrain and in almost any driving condition.
Making sure you have grip when you need it, the 2020 Isuzu D-Max Boondock 4x4 comes equipped with a new set of 17-inch wheels. These wheels are wrapped with 265/70 series all-terrain tires that get you the maximum amount of grip on almost any surface when you need it the most.

Powering the Isuzu D-Max Boondock is the familiar 4JJ1-TCX turbo diesel inline-4 Blue Power motor that it shares with its Isuzu Mu-X brother. It produces 177hp and 380 Nm of torque. Power can be either sent to all four wheels via either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Pricing for the 2020 Isuzu D-Max Boondock 4x4 starts at P1,725,000 for the manual version and P1,795,000 for the automatic variant. Those interested in getting the off-road worth pickup truck can avail of a P95k discount until the end of June.
